The Swedish EV brand says it will launch four new models over the next three years, including updated sedans and a new compact SUV aimed at one of Europe’s fastest-growing segments.
Big expansion plans
According to Mashable, Polestar described the move as the “largest model offensive” in the company’s history.
The rollout will begin with the Polestar 5, an electric performance sedan first revealed last year and expected to reach customers later this summer.
Polestar also confirmed a refreshed version of the Polestar 4 SUV will arrive later in 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the final months of the year.
New models incoming
The company says a redesigned Polestar 2 sedan is planned for early 2027.
Few details have been released so far, but executives hinted the next-generation model will bring major updates compared with the current version.
Polestar also confirmed plans for the all-new Polestar 7, a compact premium SUV expected to launch in 2028.
Europe remains key
Compact SUVs continue gaining popularity across Europe, making the Polestar 7 one of the company’s most important upcoming launches.
Polestar said the vehicle is being designed as a performance-focused EV with a more accessible price point.
The company also emphasized that the model will be built in Europe as automakers increasingly focus on regional production and supply chains.
EV competition heats up
The announcement comes as electric vehicle makers face growing pressure from Tesla, BYD and traditional automakers rapidly expanding their EV lineups.
Polestar has been working to strengthen its position with a broader mix of vehicles beyond its original sedan-focused strategy.
