Sainsbury’s has issued a safety alert recalling five popular products, including an air fryer.
The supermarket is asking customers to stop using the affected items immediately and return them for a full refund. The warning follows official guidance from the Food Standards Agency and the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.

Bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale (550ml) have been recalled by Heineken due to the possible presence of glass fragments.
Shoppers are advised not to drink the beer and instead return unopened bottles to any Sainsbury’s store. No other Heineken products are affected, and the brand has apologised for the inconvenience.
Appletiser Withdrawn Over Contamination Concerns
Six-packs of Appletiser 250ml cans are being recalled because they may contain elevated levels of chlorate, a chemical contaminant.
Customers should avoid drinking the product and return it to Sainsbury’s for a full refund. The manufacturer has confirmed no other Appletiser drinks are affected.
Nutribullet Go Blender Fire Hazard Warning
Certain Nutribullet Go portable blenders (model NGB-100) have been recalled due to a battery defect that could cause overheating while charging, posing a potential fire risk.
Owners should check the serial number on the base to see if their device is affected and request a free replacement via Nutribullet’s recall site.
Tower Air Fryers Recalled Over Overheating Risk
Three models of Tower air fryers manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023 could have a manufacturing fault leading to overheating and possible fire.
Owners should stop using the appliance immediately, check the product number on the base, and follow recall instructions via the Tower website.
Bosch Toasters Added to Safety Recall List
Bosch Styline Toasters (models TAT8611GB & TAT8613GB) made between October 2021 and April 2023 may have a fault causing the electronics to overheat.
This could result in the toaster catching fire. Affected customers should unplug the toaster immediately and contact Bosch for return and replacement instructions.
