The daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones has died at the age of 34. Victoria Jones was found unresponsive at a hotel in San Francisco, with authorities now confirming an investigation is under way.
Officials say there are no immediate signs of foul play.
Early morning response
According to TMZ, Victoria Jones was found at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco early on Thursday morning after what was described as a medical emergency.
The San Francisco Fire Department said paramedics were dispatched to the hotel at around 2:52 a.m.
A spokesperson told the outlet that “Bystanders were given instructions for CPR according to CAD records.”

When emergency crews arrived, Victoria was unresponsive. Despite attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police investigation
The San Francisco Police Department confirmed officers responded shortly after.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason street regarding a report of a deceased person.”
NBC Bay Area reported that investigators do not currently suspect foul play. Authorities have not released further details, and the cause of death remains unknown.
Victoria Jones was born to Tommy Lee Jones and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley.

Victoria briefly followed her father into acting. She made her screen debut in Men in Black II in 2002 and later appeared in One Tree Hill.
She also featured in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a film directed by her father, with her stepmother Dawn Laurel-Jones working on the project as a stills photographer.
In a 2006 interview with The New Yorker, Tommy Lee Jones spoke warmly about his daughter, saying she was a “good actress, has her sag card, speaks impeccable Spanish… When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”

In recent years, Victoria largely stepped away from public life. According to reports, she lived privately but occasionally attended red carpet events with her father.
