"How I Met Your Father" Gets the axe after two seasons

The curtain has fallen on Hulu's "How I Met Your Father," a follow-up to the much-loved "How I Met Your Mother" series.

The show, which had Hilary Duff in the lead role, won't be gracing our screens for a third season. This decision is part of a larger wave of show cancellations by Hulu and its umbrella company, Disney.

The series, crafted by writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, took us on a journey with Sophie, portrayed by Hillary Duff.

Set in the contemporary world of endless dating options and apps, Sophie and her circle of friends—Jesse, Valentina, Charlie, Ellen, and Sid—were in the thick of figuring out their identities, ambitions, and romantic lives.

The show's termination is not an isolated incident but rather a piece of a bigger puzzle. Disney has been trimming its streaming content, affecting not just "How I Met Your Father" but also other shows like "The Great" and "Doogie Kamealoha, M.D."
