Coordinating international support
French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz are co-chairing the talks. According to Euronews, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also participating in the discussions. The leaders are utilizing a hybrid format that allows some officials to dial in remotely.
The meeting features a mix of virtual and in-person attendance from European Union representatives. Official documents confirm that European Council President António Costa is attending the gathering in person. Meanwhile, Euronews reports that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is not scheduled to appear in Kyiv.
The timing of this meeting holds significance for the host nation. Monday marks exactly 35 years since Ukraine declared its independence. The coalition members are utilizing this anniversary to demonstrate their solidarity with the country.
Advancing security measures
