Walking 10,000 steps a day has become a global trend. According to Elle, this woman decided to see what would happen if she walked 10 kilometers daily—no breaks allowed.

Challenges on Day One

The first day didn’t go as planned. Old sneakers and thin socks led to painful blisters. "I could feel the blisters forming with one kilometer to go," she recalls.

By day two, things got worse. "By the end of my walk, I had a blister covering my entire right sole and another huge one on my left heel," she said.

After investing in better shoes, things began to improve. She found a consistent route and started to feel more confident. "I began to pick up the pace, and it felt more achievable," she explained.

"My hips, knees, and ankles started to remind me I’m 34," she said. It became clear her body needed rest, even though she was determined to keep going.
