The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says the undeclared allergen could cause serious reactions in people with shellfish allergies.

Why This Recall Matters

Undeclared allergens are one of the most common—and dangerous—reasons for food recalls.

Even a small amount of shrimp can trigger a life-threatening reaction for someone with a shellfish allergy, which is why officials urge quick checks of home freezers.
