A massive recall has been issued for more than 600,000 mini fridges sold across the U.S. due to a fire hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall after receiving at least 26 reports of fridges overheating, sparking, smoking, or even catching fire.
Sold at Walmart, Amazon, and More

The recalled fridges were sold nationwide at Walmart stores, Walmart.com, and Amazon between January 2020 and December 2023.
Prices ranged from $36 to $40.
With their compact design and variety of color options, these mini fridges became popular among dorm rooms, offices, and small apartments.

Four specific models are part of this recall. Consumers are urged to check the model and serial numbers, which are typically found on a label inside the fridge.

Stop Using Your Mini Fridge Immediately

If your mini fridge falls within the affected range, stop using it immediately.

Incidents Included Fires and Smoke Inhalation Injuries

While no fatalities have been reported, the CPSC has recorded 26 incidents, including two cases where individuals suffered smoke inhalation.
The recall is a proactive move to prevent more severe outcomes.

If you’re still using one of the recalled fridges, experts strongly recommend unplugging it immediately.
Continuing to use an affected unit poses a serious risk of fire and potential injury.
