The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a nationwide recall of several YoCrunch yogurt products due to reports of plastic pieces in the packaging, which could pose a choking hazard or cause injury.

The affected yogurt cups were sold at major retailers, including Walmart and Kroger, and cover a wide range of flavors and pack sizes.

What Products Are Affected?

The recall includes 6-ounce and 4-ounce YoCrunch cups, as well as variety packs, with different toppings like M&M’s, Oreo, Snickers, Twix, cookie dough, granola, and more.

Each product has specific UPC codes and expiration dates.

To check if your yogurt is part of the recall:

  1. Look for the product name and size
  2. Check the UPC code
  3. Check the printed expiration date

Due to the number of flavors and dates involved, you can see the full product list at FDA.gov.

Why Are These Yogurts Being Recalled?

The issue stems from plastic fragments in the dome topper—the clear compartment that holds toppings. This can lead to cuts, mouth injuries, or choking, especially in children.

If you or someone in your household has eaten a recalled yogurt and experienced pain, injury, or other symptoms, contact a healthcare provider immediately.

If your yogurt matches the UPC and date listed in the recall, do not eat it. Discard it or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.
