A 22-year-old TikTok creator has set the internet ablaze with a skincare routine that’s anything but routine: she stopped washing her face completely — and has millions of viewers hooked on her journey.
Tia Zakher, whose following on TikTok has ballooned to over 125,000, went viral after revealing she hadn’t touched her face — not even with water — for weeks.
Her “do-nothing” approach has sparked a flurry of praise, skepticism, and heated debate across social media, particularly in the beauty and wellness space.

For the first few weeks, she kept the experiment private, unsure how her audience would react.
But by April, her skin began to visibly change — developing flakiness, discoloration, and what she described as a rough texture.
Questions poured in from viewers noticing the shift, prompting her to post a now-viral video that has surpassed 10 million views.
The “Caveman Regimen”
Zakher called her method the “caveman regimen”, a term she found in online skincare forums.
The approach rejects modern skincare entirely in favor of letting the skin “rebalance itself” naturally, with no external interference.
She clarified she didn’t coin the term but has been applying it literally — avoiding water, skincare products, and even touching her face.
Some viewers praised her confidence and willingness to challenge beauty norms.
Others accused her of faking the results or warned of potential long-term skin damage, citing dermatologists who caution against avoiding basic hygiene.
