The conflict between Israel and Gaza has intensified with the recent Israeli airstrikes that killed dozens of people overnight in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip.

This escalation comes despite the entry of medicine for hostages and fresh aid for civilians into the Palestinian territory under a newly brokered deal, facilitated by mediator Qatar.

According to News.com.au, the Gaza Health Ministry reported a tragic toll of 93 deaths, including 16 from a single strike in the southern city of Rafah.

"The strike left 16 killed, among them women and children, and 20 injured," the ministry said.

These developments mark a concerning phase in the long-standing conflict. The recent strikes have not only increased the death toll but have also heightened the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The situation in Gaza is particularly dire, with the threat of famine and disease looming over the densely populated area.

The international community, including Qatar and France, has attempted to alleviate some of this suffering by sending 61 tonnes of aid, including food and medicine, to the region.

The Health Ministry's figures indicate that the conflict has claimed the lives of thousands, with a substantial number of them being women, children, and adolescents. The international community, including the United States and other global powers, has expressed growing concerns over the situation.
