What is happening?

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained a Russian informant who corrected enemy strikes in Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Promised money

According to the case materials, the suspect was a 16-year-old local student, whom the occupiers involved in subversive activities, promising a monetary reward.

Verifying coordinates

Accoring to a press release by the SBU, the agent’s main task was to search for and verify the coordinates of military facilities and the local airfield: the presence of aircraft, military personnel, and equipment there.

In addition, the suspect tried to obtain information about the production sites of components for Ukrainian UAVs.

Took photographs

On the instructions of the game curator, the agent traveled to a neighboring region to collect data, took photographs of strategic objects, and sent the information to the curator.

Crimes documented

SBU officers exposed the informant, documented his crimes, and detained him at his place of residence.

At the same time, the Security Service carried out comprehensive measures to secure Defense Forces locations.

Suspected of high treason

During the search, a phone with evidence of his work in the Russian Federation was seized from him.

Based on the collected evidence, SBU investigators informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The perpetrator is in custody.
