Ukrainian rescuer responded to drone attack – found his own family hit

Tragically, his family was inside the house when the drone hit.

What is happening?

Last night, Ukraine was once again hit by Russian drone attacks.

Overnight, Ukraine was attacked by 103 drones and one ballistic missile, targeting the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipro and Kherson regions.

Even worse than imagined

In a post on X, Ukrainian President, Volodomyr Zelenskyy, wrote:

“Last night, Russia struck Pryluky in the Chernihiv region with six attack drones. A rescue operation continued throughout the night. Unfortunately, there have been injuries and fatalities.”

But the worst was yet to come.

His own house

Zelenskyy continued:

“One of the rescuers arrived to deal with the aftermath right at his own home — it turned out that a “Shahed” drone had struck exactly his house.”

Family gone

Tragically, both the rescuers wife, daughter and one-year-old grandson was killed by the drone.

“And this is already the 632nd child lost since the full-scale war began,” Zelenskyy added in the post.

Russian terrorists

Zelenskyy continued the post by condemning the Russian attacks:

“This was another massive strike by terrorists. Russian terrorists who kill our people every night. This is yet another reason to impose maximum sanctions and apply pressure together.”

Strength matters

Zelenskyy finished off the post by emphazising that “strength matters”.

“Moscow must be pressured by all available means and gradually deprived of its ability to continue this aggression,” Zelenskyy stated.
