The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has reached a new and grim milestone, according to the UK Ministry of Defence.

In a recent report, the Ministry revealed that the Ukrainian forces have inflicted the highest daily casualty rates on Russian troops since the beginning of the conflict.

The Ministry's report, published on X (Twitter), details that throughout November 2023, the Ukrainian General Staff reported an average of 931 Russian casualties per day. This figure surpasses the previous deadliest month for Russia, which was March 2023, with an average of 776 losses per day during the peak of the Russian assault on Bakhmut.

While the Defence Intelligence Service has not been able to verify the methodology behind these figures, the reported numbers, which include both fatalities and injuries, are considered plausible. The report highlights that over the past six weeks, Russia has likely suffered some of the highest casualty rates of the war to date. These significant losses are primarily attributed to the Russian offensive against the Donbass city of Avdiivka.

The Ministry's report sheds light on the escalating toll of the conflict, both in terms of human lives and the broader geopolitical implications. The high casualty rates not only reflect the intense and brutal nature of the fighting but also indicate the substantial resistance faced by Russian forces in Ukraine.

It is important to note that while these figures have been shared by the UK Ministry of Defence, they have not been independently verified by other sources. As such, the exact accuracy of the numbers cannot be confirmed at this time. The situation in Ukraine remains fluid, and the information is subject to change as more details become available.
