A sudden lockdown
Gloucestershire Police rushed to the rural village of Welford on Sunday to lock down a major incident. Officers arrested several men on suspicion of explosives offenses, according to a Reuters report cited by United24Media.
The arrests happened just outside RAF Fairford. This Royal Air Force station is a crucial European hub for American military power.

“The 501st Combat Support Wing and other UK-based units remain vigilant and will take appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of our US service members, civilians, contractors and their families,” a US Air Force spokesperson said, according to Reuters.
