A fresh barrage of attacks has struck multiple regions across Ukraine.
Authorities report casualties and widespread damage following another night of intense fighting, reports the Kyiv Independent.
Civilian casualties
At least two people were killed and 20 others injured in Russian attacks over the past 24 hours, according to the Kyiv Independent.
In the central city of Kryvyi Rih, one person died and five others were wounded after a series of strikes, regional officials said. The victim was identified as a 40 -year-old man.
Drone strikes intensify
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia launched 123 drones overnight, including around 80 Shahed-type drones.
Air defences managed to shoot down 95 of them, limiting some of the potential damage.
Despite this, several regions were still hit.
Multiple regions targeted
In Kharkiv Oblast, a drone strike on the town of Chuhuiv killed one person and injured a 74-year-old man, according to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.
In Sumy Oblast, guided bomb attacks left four people wounded, including elderly civilians.
Further south, Zaporizhzhia recorded four injuries, while six more people were wounded in Kherson Oblast, some in drone strikes earlier in the day.
Infrastructure damage
Russian attacks also caused destruction beyond residential areas.
In Chernihiv Oblast, a drone strike hit agricultural facilities, destroying storage buildings containing grain and equipment, local officials said.
Ongoing pressure
The attacks highlight the continued intensity of Russia’s campaign across Ukraine.
With hundreds of engagements reported daily, Ukrainian forces remain under sustained pressure as they attempt to defend multiple фронтlines simultaneously.
