The POTUS repeated his claims that the world’s largest island would be taken over by Russia or China if the U.S. did not gain control of it first.
A high-stakes meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and Greenland and U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and Vice President, J. D. Vance, is scheduled to take place in DC later Wednesday.
The initial reports was that the meeting would take place in the White House, but it has now been moved tothe ceremonial office of the Vice President in the Eisenhower Executive Building, according to reports.
It is unclear why the meeting has now been moved, but some analysts suggest that it could make the meeting less tense – simply because it will now happen physically farther away from President Donald Trump.
That being said, Trump does not plan to stay quiet on the matter of Greenland today, as a new post on social media shows.
“NATO should be leading the way”
In the post, which was posted on Trump’s own social media, Truth Social, the POTUS repeats that the United states “needs Greenland for the purpose of National Security”.
He explains that U.S. having control over Greenland is vital for the Golden Dome project, which is a missile defense for the United States.
He also repeats his claims that Russia or China will take over Greenland, if the U.S. does not get it first, and by because of that, “NATO should be leading the way for us to get it,” as Trump puts it.

The United States needs Greenland for the purpose of National Security. It is vital for the Golden Dome that we are building. NATO should be leading the way for us to get it. IF WE DON’T, RUSSIA OR CHINA WILL, AND THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Militarily, without the vast power of the United States, much of which I built during my first term, and am now bringing to a new and even higher level, NATO would not be an effective force or deterrent – Not even close! They know that, and so do I. NATO becomes far more formidable and effective with Greenland in the hands of the UNITED STATES.
Anything less than that is unacceptable. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT
