Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis on January 7 as she was driving home after dropping her son at school.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her killing has prompted nationwide protests and fierce criticism of the Trump administration, which has defended the actions of the agent involved.
President Donald Trump blamed Good shortly after her death, writing on Truth Social that she was “violently, wilfully, and viciously” running over an ICE officer, who he claimed acted in self-defense.
Official version disputed
Several government officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, labeled Good a “domestic terrorist,” alleging she used her car as a weapon.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey strongly rejected that narrative.
“They’re already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense,” he said. “Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly – that is bulls**t.”
The incident has since become a flashpoint in a broader political storm.
Expert reviews footage
A forensic expert known online as Dr G has analyzed video footage of Good’s final moments, focusing closely on her hands and vehicle movements.
According to the expert, Good’s hands can be seen turning the steering wheel to the left, while her tires were also angled left.

“That shows she was preparing to leave,” Dr G said in a YouTube video.
He added that both the brake and reverse lights were illuminated, suggesting she was attempting to exit the situation rather than confront anyone.
Flight state
Dr G said the footage indicates Good was in a “flight state,” reacting instinctively to danger. Despite high adrenaline, he said she appeared composed and focused on getting away.
The expert also noted that Good tried to reverse while her wife’s hand was still on the locked car door handle, which he believes shows a lack of awareness rather than intent to harm.
“As soon as she put her car out of reverse, as soon as she started moving forward, then she started turning her steering wheel,” he said.
