As the U.S. presidential elections approach in 2024, Republican candidates are actively campaigning ahead of the primaries scheduled for next spring.

During a recent debate, the candidates were questioned about America's interests concerning the degradation of the Russian military and the focus on the war in Ukraine.

According to RadioZet, Chris Christie, the former Governor of New Jersey, issued a stark warning.

"If you think Putin will stop at Ukraine, you're mistaken. If we allow him to take any part of Ukraine, Poland will be next," he cautioned.

Christie criticized Donald Trump for praising Putin, describing the Russian leader as someone who kills people in his own country and is now spilling blood in Ukraine.

Similar sentiments were echoed by former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and Senator Tim Scott. On the other hand, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who enjoys better poll numbers than the other candidates, argued that the U.S. should focus on ending "eternal wars" and make Europe bear more of the burden.

DeSantis also supported military intervention against drug cartels in Mexico.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a businessman of Indian origin, suggested that U.S. support for Ukraine is pushing Russia closer to China. He called for a "sensible peace plan."
