A question about Donald Trump’s health turned awkward after Vice President JD Vance gave an answer that many online are calling “ominous” and “strange.”
Questions Grow Around Trump’s Health

Vice President JD Vance has raised eyebrows after a peculiar interview response addressing President Donald Trump’s health, as speculation over Trump’s fitness for office continues to mount.
Large Bruises

Trump, who turns 80 next year, has recently been seen with a large bruise on his hand. The White House chalked it up to routine handshakes.
He’s also been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition affecting blood flow in the legs.
Add to that multiple public stumbles and makeup mishaps attempting to conceal the bruise, and concern over his well-being isn’t hard to understand.

But when Vance was asked if he felt ready to take over as president in the event of a medical emergency, his answer caused a stir.
“Strange” Words From the Vice President

Speaking to USA Today, Vance said, “I’ve had a lot of on-the-job training in the last 200 days, but the president is in incredibly good health.”
“He’s got incredible energy. While most of the people who work around the president of the United States are younger than he is, I think that we find that he’s actually the last person to go to sleep, he’s the last person making phone calls at night, and he’s the first person who wakes up and is the first person making phone calls in the morning,” Vance added.
“God Forbid There Is a Terrible Tragedy”

Then came the line that caught the internet’s attention:
“If God forbid there is a terrible tragedy, I can’t think of better on-the-job training than what I’ve gotten in the last 200 days.”

Health Rumors and Mounting Criticism

The response comes at a time when Trump’s health is under renewed scrutiny, not only from political opponents, but from family members and medical observers.
His niece, psychologist Mary Trump, recently said on her YouTube channel that her uncle was “declining rapidly,” calling his presidency a “reign of idiocy.”

A separate report by Express News claimed medical experts had identified possible signs of early-stage dementia, specifically pointing to motor issues and a noticeable leg swing while walking often seen in patients with neurological decline.
One expert alleged: “If you watch the way he walks, he has what they call a leg swing, where his right leg swings in a semicircle like a dead weight.”
Still, White House physician Sean Barbabella maintains that Trump is in “good health” and “fully fit to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief.”
A Different Kind of Transparency?

While Vance’s comments were likely intended to reinforce the president’s vitality, the way he framed his readiness to step in seemed to undermine the message.
As one political analyst put it on X:
