She last appeared beside her husband at the FIFA World Cup Final in New Jersey on July 19. Since that stadium appearance, cameras have not caught her at a single public gathering.
An analysis by The Daily Beast cited by Irish Star revealed that she was photographed on only 38 days out of the first 231 days of the year. That averages out to an appearance every six days.
Her schedule slowed down drastically throughout June and July, with photographers capturing her just five times across those eight weeks.
Missing key moments
Her sudden absence meant missing several high-profile political events alongside President Donald Trump.
In late July, she skipped the solemn transfer of fallen American soldiers, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and the funeral for Senator Lindsey Graham.
She was also absent from her husband’s weekend golf trips in Bedminster throughout August. The Daily Beast pointed out that former First Ladies Jill Biden and Michelle Obama maintained far busier public calendars during similar stretches.
The White House has not commented on her absence or the report.
Addressing the rumors
Her recent vanishing act follows a rare press conference she held earlier in the year regarding persistent rumors involving Jeffrey Epstein.
In a statement released by the White House, she pushed back firmly against those claims. “The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” she stated.
She clarified that she was never friends with the late financier. “My email reply to Maxwell cannot be categorized as anything more than casual correspondence,” she explained, adding, “I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump.”
Her husband has consistently denied any connection to Epstein’s illegal actions, and authorities have never named him in any criminal investigation.
