A recent appearance by Donald Trump in the Oval Office has sparked debate online after some social media users questioned the president’s demeanor and speech during a public event.
The discussion intensified after a physiotherapist specializing in geriatric care offered his personal interpretation of footage from the event.
Online reactions
According to o2, citing The Daily Express, attention focused on Trump’s June 4 appearance during an event on environmental policy.
Social media users commented that the president appeared tired and at times seemed to briefly close his eyes while others were speaking.
Some online observers also pointed to moments in which they believed his speech sounded unclear.
The discussion quickly spread across social media platforms and political forums.
Therapist’s analysis
According to o2, physiotherapist Adam James, who publishes online under the name “epistemiccrisis,” shared his own assessment of the footage.
James said he has 14 years of professional experience and has worked extensively with elderly patients.
He stressed that his comments were not a medical diagnosis and were based solely on publicly available video recordings.
“I’ve seen many stroke patients over the years. The stroke affected the strength and tone of the muscles on one side of the torso, and the patients were unable to maintain an upright posture. Trump, when very tired and falling asleep, would lean to one side,” he said.
Unverified claims
James also highlighted what he believed could indicate speech difficulties.
“It was the worst case of expressive aphasia, a common symptom of left-hemisphere stroke, that I had ever seen in him. He was mumbling,” he said.
The physiotherapist further suggested that some of Trump’s jaw movements could have a neurological explanation.
However, according to o2, these observations have not been independently verified by medical professionals involved in the president’s care.
White House response
The White House has rejected speculation regarding Trump’s health.
According to o2, neither the administration nor the president’s medical team has issued any statement indicating that Trump has suffered a stroke, dementia, or another neurological condition.
Officials have consistently maintained that such claims are unsupported by medical evidence.
At present, the discussion remains based on public interpretations of video footage rather than any confirmed medical diagnosis.
