Kevin Costner, the renowned actor, recently emerged victorious in a heated child support dispute with his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner.
The couple, who have been together for nearly 19 years and share three children, recently announced their separation.
The divorce and child Support
Baumgartner initially sought $161,000 per month in child support for their three kids—Cayden Wyatt, Hayes Logan, and Grace Avery.
However, a Santa Barbara judge reduced the monthly payments to $63,000, which is significantly less than what she had been receiving.
Emotional toll on both sides
Costner expressed that there were “no winners” in this emotionally draining battle.
He took the stand during the final moments of the hearing, sharing his concerns about potentially taking on roles he wasn’t comfortable with to meet inflated child support demands.
In November, a trial will be held to discuss Baumgartner’s request for spousal support and the couple’s prenuptial agreement.
