A far right-wing civil war is brewing.

An embarrassing midterm defeat has shaken the far-right and the MAGA movement to their core.

After Democrats swept through both the House and Senate to take control of Capitol Hill, conservative influencers and far-right celebrities went on the internet to figure out who to blame.

Surprisingly, the president is the one in the line of fire and he is getting blamed as many are washing their hands of him.

The MAGA movement is shattering

Suddenly, prominent voices are openly questioning Donald Trump’s grip on the MAGA movement.

Higher living costs linked to a never-ending war in Iran, along with aggressive crackdowns that have divided the country, spurred voters to reject Republican candidates across the country. That is why results occurred that had not been seen in decades, such as in Texas and Kansas.

Local lobbyists and strategists were also quick to blame the president. “It’s on him. It’s not on anybody else. It’s a total, complete rejection of President Trump,” Bill Miller, a top Republican lobbyist in Texas, told the BBC. “This is a disaster of the first magnitude. Nobody saw it coming like this.”

“It was just one mistake after another,” said Gregg Peppin, a Republican strategist in Minnesota. “Clearly, in state after state, people did not like the president’s policies.”

Even Vice President J.D. Vance pointed the finger at Trump. Conducting a long and unusual autopsy on social media of why the GOP got obliterated, Vance argued that the war in Iran was the main reason, writing, “The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.”

Looking for exits

Other conservative figures are demanding a total break from the president. Right-wing podcaster Matt Walsh insisted that lawmakers achieved “precisely zero” before declaring on social media, “Trump is now an 80-year-old lame duck with a Democrat Congress.”

Far-right voices and influencers are pushing for an outright purge. Streamer and neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes declared on election night that rebuilding the conservative movement “cannot involve Trump, Vance.”

However, Trump still has devoted loyalists digging in to defend the president. Media personality Laura Loomer dismissed critics as opportunists, arguing online that “President Trump can seal his legacy by cracking down on the radical left.” Loomer has made 138 post in the last 24 hours.

Commentator Charles Cornish-Dale warned that the coming civil war among conservatives would make past battles look gentle.

Trump himself rejected any personal responsibility for the catastrophic evening. Writing on Truth Social, he insisted, “I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!”
