Was Supposed to Pick up Patient
A medical transport plane crashed near Chinle Airport in northern Arizona, according to Digi24. The aircraft was headed to pick up a patient at a local hospital. All four people on board died.
The crash happened on the Navajo Nation reservation. The area stretches across parts of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
Local police confirmed the incident in an official statement. Authorities are now investigating what caused the plane to go down and catch fire.
The victims included two pilots and two members of the medical team. That information was confirmed by both Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren and CSI Aviation, the company that operated the plane.
CSI Aviation said the team was flying to provide care to a patient in need. It was a routine mission, one of many they handle across the region.
The tragedy has left families grieving and raised questions about what went wrong.
