Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has made bold statements about the country’s offensive against Iran—without revealing new battlefield details.

As Israel’s military campaign against Iran enters its second week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared it a historic turning point—not just for the region, but for the world.

In a televised interview, he said the offensive is transforming the geopolitical landscape, even as the death toll rises on both sides.

Netanyahu told Israel’s public broadcaster KAN 11 that the country is on a path to “a huge victory.”

He argued that Iran poses two existential threats to Israel: nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. In his view, dismantling both is critical not only for Israeli security, but for reshaping international norms around nuclear proliferation.

Strategic goals and a global appeal

The prime minister claimed Israel has the capacity to strike every nuclear facility in Iran. However, he emphasized that “any help is welcome” in eliminating Iran’s capabilities.

This marked a rare open call for international support in a conflict Israel has so far pursued largely unilaterally.

According to Netanyahu, more than half of Iran’s missile launchers have been destroyed since the conflict began on June 13.

He framed this as part of a broader campaign to neutralize Tehran’s military infrastructure before it can be fully rebuilt.

High casualties on both sides

The costs of the conflict are already significant. Israeli government sources report that Iranian rocket and drone attacks have killed 25 people in Israel.

Meanwhile, the latest official figures from Iran put their own death toll at 224. The figures are expected to climb as strikes continue.

Netanyahu called the war unprecedented and “historic,” saying it marks the first time Israel has openly engaged Iran in direct combat, rather than through proxy conflicts.

As reported by Digi24, the Israeli leader sees the campaign as nothing less than an attempt to change the face of global power dynamics—one airstrike at a time.
