Mars, a name synonymous with popular chocolate bars like Twix, Milky Way, and Snickers, has recently stirred a global outcry. Chocolate aficionados worldwide are expressing their dismay as the confectionery giant has decided to discontinue its dark Bounty bars.

One of the most vocal critics of this decision is British TV host Piers Morgan. Taking to the social media platform X, he expressed his frustration, stating, "I’ve just been told my favourite dark chocolate red wrapper Bounty bars have been discontinued, and this is the last one left in my dressing room stockpile. I’m outraged. This will cause immeasurable harm to my mental health. Please reconsider."

His sentiment was echoed by many, with fans quickly sharing their disappointment. One fan lamented, "No! Dark chocolate Bounties are far superior to milk chocolate Bounty bars." Another pleaded, "Mars, don't do this to us," while yet another reminisced, "It has always been my favorite chocolate bar."

Interestingly, this isn't the first time the dark Bounty bar faced a temporary removal from the market. Back in November 2022, the bar was briefly taken off the shelves. At the time, a spokesperson attributed this to "temporary operational reasons."

However, recent events suggest that the decision might be more permanent than previously thought. The Sun conducted a check across major supermarkets, and the findings were consistent: the product was either "not available" or "discontinued" online. Only a handful of independent candy stores seem to have any stock left of the beloved chocolate bar.

As of now, Mars has not confirmed when or if the dark chocolate bar will make a return. This leaves fans clinging to hope and savoring the last of their dark Bounty bars, reminiscing about the unique taste that set it apart from its milk chocolate counterpart.

The Bounty bar, with its rich coconut filling enveloped in smooth chocolate, has been a favorite for many over the years. Its dark chocolate variant, in particular, offered a bittersweet experience that resonated with those who preferred a less sugary treat.
