Russian President Vladimir Putin is presently engaging with the Russian public in an extensive press conference, an event being closely followed by Dagens.com through a live TV feed.

This conference is particularly crucial as it may shed light on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Soon the 'special operation' will end, I think

The war in Ukraine could end after the Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU) deplete their personnel in the battles in Krynyky and other front sectors.

This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a direct line broadcast.

"There is no secret, I told our military some time ago: 'Don't rush to push them out. It is advantageous for us that there the VSU suppresses its personnel.' Unfortunately, this is the logic of military combat. Such is the logic for them. Practically along the entire line of contact, our Armed Forces are in an active stage. There is advancement of our troops. Our military said that they will be narrowing the space of freedom for the VSU. Soon the 'special operation' will end, I think," said Vladimir Putin.

In October, the VSU broke through to the left bank of the Dnieper. After that, they began to expand their bridgehead near Krynyky.
