Incident and Investigation:

The recall was triggered by a consumer report to DSD Merchandisers, LLC.

The consumer, after noticing peanuts in the product, realized the label lacked a proper declaration of peanuts in the ingredient and allergen statements, only mentioning that the product was packed on equipment handling peanuts. An internal investigation revealed a temporary breakdown in the company's formulation and packaging label change processes.
