Ukrainian drone forces struck Russian military infrastructure in occupied Crimea and eastern Ukraine, targeting a Pantsir-S1 air defense system, coastal radar stations, command facilities and drone-related assets.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces say they carried out a coordinated series of strikes against Russian military targets in occupied Crimea and eastern Ukraine, targeting air defense systems, radar installations and command infrastructure.
The operation was part of Kyiv’s effort to disrupt Russian military capabilities far behind the front line.

Air defense targeted

According to United24Media, citing Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS), Ukrainian drone operators struck a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system near the village of Vydne in occupied Crimea on June 2.

The Pantsir-S1 is a short- to medium-range air defense system used to protect strategic facilities from aircraft, missiles and drones.

SBS Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi said the strike was conducted under the force’s newly established Deep Strike Center.

He later noted that one of the identified targets turned out to be a decoy Pantsir system rather than an operational launcher.

Radar systems hit

According to United24Media, Ukrainian forces also targeted Neva-B and Neva-B2M coastal radar stations near occupied Mariupol.

These radar systems are used to monitor maritime and aerial activity and provide targeting data to Russian coastal defense units.

Ukraine said the strikes were intended to reduce Russia’s surveillance and early-warning capabilities along occupied sections of the coastline.

No independent assessment of the reported damage has been released.

Multiple military targets

The SBS reported additional strikes against a Project 1454 tugboat near Mizhvodne in Crimea and a command post belonging to Russia’s 92nd River Boat Brigade.

Other targets included a temporary deployment site used by Russia’s 110th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade near Zhelanne in the occupied Donetsk region.

According to United24Media, Ukrainian drones also struck a workshop used by Russia’s 589th Motorized Rifle Regiment for drone production, maintenance and preparation.

The facility was reportedly involved in supporting Russian unmanned aerial operations on the battlefield.

Broader campaign

Brovdi said reconnaissance identified dozens of military vehicles at a deployment site belonging to Russia’s 3rd Army Corps near Shyrokyne.

According to his statement, at least 11 command-and-control and transport vehicles were destroyed, while battle damage assessments remain ongoing.

Separately, United24Media reported that Ukraine struck Russia’s Kronstadt naval base near St. Petersburg on June 3, with preliminary reports indicating possible damage to vessels and infrastructure associated with Russia’s Baltic Fleet.
