Shelling in Kharkiv: Casualties and Destruction Reported

One person died and 13 others were injured in the Kharkiv region due to intense shelling.

A recent shelling across the Kharkiv region has resulted in one death and injuries to 13 individuals within a single day.

Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, shared these details through a Facebook update.

Casualties Across the Region

The attacks have caused significant destruction across Kharkiv and its surrounding areas.

In the city of Kharkiv, a rocket attack at 20:03 damaged a five-story building and eight vehicles, resulting in injuries to two individuals, aged 20 and 40.

Elsewhere, in the village of Bohuslavka, a farm building was set ablaze due to shelling, injuring a woman. In Chuguyev, two women were injured by similar means.

Additional casualties included an 87-year-old woman in the Grafsky Chuguyiv district and a 70-year-old man in Vovchansk, both injured due to enemy shelling.

In the Kupian District's village of Kolisnikivka, a 55-year-old woman was wounded, and a 25-year-old tractor driver was injured when a "Lancet" drone struck his tractor in the Dergachiv community.

The region also reported a fatality; a 50-year-old man died in Kupyansk due to an ammunition explosion.

The relentless shelling has also damaged critical infrastructure. In the Malodanyliv settlement community, a dormitory, a general family medicine clinic, and a residential house were struck, resulting in injuries to four medical facility employees.

Military Response

Synegubov noted that the Defense Forces have successfully repelled multiple enemy attacks across various directions around Kharkiv. Despite these efforts, in some areas, the Defense Forces had to regroup to more advantageous positions due to intense enemy fire.

The regional administration has coordinated a large-scale evacuation effort, rescuing thousands from high-risk zones.

A total of 8,779 people have been evacuated from areas like Chuguyiv, Kharkiv, and Bogoduhiv districts, with significant contributions from volunteers.
