Donald Trump, the former U.S. President, is confident that he could end the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours if he were back in the White House.

In a recent interview, Trump reiterated his earlier claims that he could bring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table and resolve the conflict swiftly.

However, he declined to reveal his specific plan.

The ongoing war in Ukraine is a complicated matter with no immediate end in sight. Despite this, Trump believes that resolving it would take him just 24 hours.

He stated that he would say certain things to both Putin and Zelensky but did not disclose what those would be, citing negotiation tactics.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously praised Trump for having a plan. Putin also mentioned that peace could be achieved if Ukraine would repeal a law that currently prohibits peace negotiations with Russia.

According to Putin, the ball is in Ukraine's court to initiate peace talks.

The obvious question is why Russia doesn't end the conflict themselves by ceasing their attacks on Ukraine.

Putin addressed this by stating that it's challenging to stop hostilities when the other side is launching a counter-offensive.
