On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said that any “credible” evidence related to Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network should be made public.

His comment comes as pressure builds from his own supporters, who are demanding more transparency about the case.

Speaking to reporters before leaving the White House for Pennsylvania, Trump said it’s up to Pam Bondi, the head of the Department of Justice (DOJ), to decide what information is credible enough to share.

Pam Bondi has been criticized after the DOJ released a memo last week that seemed to shut down further investigation into Epstein.

Some are calling for her resignation.

At a press conference Tuesday, Bondi refused to answer more questions and said, “Our memorandum speaks for itself.”

Epstein’s Death and Conspiracies

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a New York jail cell in 2019 before he could go on trial. Many believe he was murdered to protect powerful people, though no solid proof has ever been found.

These theories have grown popular in Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) circles.

Trump’s administration had earlier promised to “lift the veil” on what he called a “disgusting” scandal.

But a memo published by the DOJ and the FBI on July 7 said Epstein died by suicide and that no list of his alleged “clients” was ever found in the case files.

Online Backlash

This memo sparked outrage online, especially among MAGA supporters.

Conservative personality Tucker Carlson even accused the DOJ of hiding the truth and “insulting the public.”

On Saturday, Trump posted on his platform Truth Social, telling followers: “Don’t waste your time and energy on Jeffrey Epstein, who no one cares about.”

The reaction was unusually negative — many users on the platform criticized Trump’s words, which is rare among his base.
