Russia’s most recognisable television commentator has again used his prime-time platform to sketch out a dark vision of Europe’s future.
The comments come amid heightened tensions between Moscow and Western capitals, and just days after similar rhetoric targeting major European cities.
While such language has become familiar to viewers, the latest remarks added a new and provocative twist.
“All the way to Lisbon”
Vladimir Solovyov, a prominent Kremlin-aligned broadcaster, has long built his profile around threats and confrontational messaging aimed at Western audiences.
Past statements have included predictions of war reaching “all the way to Lisbon” (capital of Portugal) and claims that Britain’s destruction would be welcomed globally.

Those earlier remarks framed Russia as locked in an existential struggle with Europe and NATO.
This time, however, Solovyov’s focus extended across the Atlantic, drawing the United States into his apocalyptic forecasts.
A shift on America
Despite decades of rivalry between Washington and Moscow, Solovyov’s language toward the US appeared notably softer, particularly in reference to Donald Trump.
On his Full Contact programme, he suggested American interests could align with Russia’s military actions.
“If Americans want to protect their investments, they can fight Ukrainian drones with their air defence systems,” he said. “Do you want to put your air defence systems on our territory and test them against your own s**t? Go ahead, defend your investments.”

Dividing Europe
Solovyov then escalated his rhetoric, predicting a future alliance between Moscow and Washington against Europe.
“By the way, I won’t be surprised if at some point in time, combined groups of Russian-American combat troops will storm German, Belgian, French and British cities,” he said.
He went on to liken the European Union and its leadership to Nazi Germany. “We will be liberating nation-states from oppression and the yoke of the new Reich,” Solovyov added. “Americans openly say they are their enemies. Therefore, there is no need to harbour any illusions.”
