Elon Musk's 20-year-old estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, announced on Threads that she plans to leave the United States after Donald Trump’s recent presidential election win, reports Nieuwsblad.

Vivian, a trans woman, distanced herself from her father two years ago, legally changing her name to fully cut ties with Musk.

She previously accused Musk of being an absent parent and unsupportive of her transition.

Vivian, one of Musk’s six children with his first wife, Justine Wilson, shared her decision on social media, expressing concerns about her future in the U.S. under Trump’s leadership.

"I’ve been thinking this for a while, but yesterday it was confirmed for me. I don’t see my future in the United States," she wrote, adding that even a single four-year term, and the possibility of anti-trans legislation, have made her feel unwelcome and ultimately led her to the decision.

Wilson noted that the values of many Trump supporters appear unchanged, contributing to her decision to seek a life outside the U.S.

Musk, a loud and vocal Trump supporter, had invested heavily in the newly elected President's campaign and organized actions to aid in his election.

Wilson’s post also underscores her desire to break from what she sees as a hostile political climate that doesn’t support her or her community's future in the country.
