What is happening?
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Elon Musk says he is “disappointed” with Donald Trumps Big Beautiful Bill (BBB), fearing it will undermine everything DOGE has done to cut federal spendings.
Increasing deficit by $3.8 trillion
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the BBB would increase the national deficit by as much as $ 3.8 trillion by 2034.
“It can’t be both”
Musk said in the interview, that he thinks that a bill can be either big or beautiful, but that he doesn’t know, if it can be both.
What is BBB?
The Big Beautiful Bill can best be described as a bill containing everything Donald Trump promised in his election campaign.

- Continuation of tax cuts from 2017
- Higher deductions on federal on local tavxes
- Cutbacks on Medicaid and health care
- New savings plan for children called “Trump account”
