King Charles III is hoping that his funeral could be the moment his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, finally make peace.
According to The Telegraph and Quotidiano Nazionale, the King has already included a reunion between his sons in the detailed plans for his funeral, known as “Operation London Bridge.”
Planning for the End
Even though King Charles is still alive, big royal events like funerals are planned years ahead.
His funeral, just like Queen Elizabeth II’s in 2022, will be carefully organized with help from the Royal Household, police, army, and church officials.

Charles, who is being treated for cancer, has reportedly made it clear that he wants Harry and Meghan to play an important role at his funeral.
This includes being part of the public procession and the ceremonies at Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle.
The King also wants their children, Archie and Lilibet, to attend if they wish.
A Family Reunited—One Last Time?
The King believes his death could bring his family back together.
He wants Harry and William to walk side by side during the funeral. Even if Harry and Meghan are no longer together by then, Charles still wants them to take part.
Harry has said in the past that he doesn’t feel safe returning to the UK because he no longer gets police protection.
But if the King dies, all royal family members would automatically receive full security, making Harry’s return more likely.
Charles may still have chances to bring his sons back together before his funeral. One possible moment is in 2027 at the Invictus Games in Birmingham—a sports event Harry created.
Both the King and William are expected to attend.
Another possible reunion could happen in 2028 for the King’s 80th birthday. This will be marked by two celebrations: a private one on his actual birthday and an official event in the summer. Many believe this could be the perfect time for the royal family to come together again.
