Andy Murray says he won’t return to coaching “for a while” following a surprise six month stint working with Novak Djokovic.
He described it as a “brilliant opportunity” but confirmed he’s stepping back for the time being.

From Retirement to Djokovic’s Corner

Just months after retiring, Murray joined Djokovic’s team for the 2025 Australian Open.
It marked a dramatic shift from rival to coach, offering Murray a firsthand look at high stakes mentoring.

“Not the Plan, But Too Good to Miss”

“I wasn’t planning to coach so soon,” Murray told the BBC.
“But working with one of the greatest athletes ever was a chance I couldn’t turn down.”

Though he won’t coach again immediately, Murray left the door open according to Skysports.
