This sequel promises to delve deeper into the dark and mysterious world of Valak, the demon nun, and the brave souls who dare to confront her.

Set in 1956 in France, the story unfolds with the murder of a priest, hinting at an evil that's spreading its malevolent grip. The narrative follows Sister Irene, portrayed by the talented Taissa Farmiga, who reprises her role from the first film. Sister Irene is set to face the demonic Valak once more, a confrontation that promises to be even more terrifying than their previous encounter.

Joining Farmiga in this harrowing journey is an ensemble cast of international talent. Jonas Bloquet, known for his roles in "Tirailleurs" and the original "The Nun," is back, alongside Storm Reid of "The Last of Us" and "The Suicide Squad" fame. Anna Popplewell, who many will recognize from the "Chronicles of Narnia" trilogy, and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her role from the first "Nun" film, also grace the screen, ensuring that the film is packed with stellar performances.

Behind the scenes, Michael Chaves, the director of "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It," takes the helm, working from a screenplay crafted by the trio of Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and Akela Cooper. The story is based on characters created by the brilliant minds of James Wan and Gary Dauberman.

The "Conjuring" universe has already etched its name in the annals of horror cinema. With a staggering collection of over $2 billion worldwide, it stands as the highest-grossing horror franchise in history. "The Nun," the predecessor to "The Nun II," holds the record as the top-earning film in the franchise, raking in over $366 million globally.

"The Nun II" is not just a film; it's an experience. Produced by New Line Cinema and distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, it's set to terrify audiences in North America from September 8, 2023, and will begin its international run from September 6, 2023.
