When a modern conflict shifts into high gear, the technology on the battlefield evolves faster than anyone can predict.

Keeping pace with these rapid changes becomes a matter of survival for both sides. Now, an influential voice from within the conflict is sounding the alarm about what lies ahead.

Incoming drone storm

A prominent Russian war commentator has issued a stark warning to the public about a massive wave of upcoming attacks. Ukraine is reportedly preparing to scale up its aerial operations dramatically.

According to Dialog.UA citted by LA.lv, blogger Andrei Klintsevich admitted on Russia’s Komsomolskaya Pravda radio that Moscow is losing the technological race. He noted that Ukraine is developing unmanned tech at a blistering pace.

The commentator offered a grim prediction for the coming months. He expects the sheer volume of daily aerial assaults to skyrocket beyond anything seen so far.

“I think that by mid-summer or autumn, Ukraine will be able to increase the number of drones launched to a thousand. Maybe not every day, but every other day. And the question is, are we producing the same number of anti-aircraft missiles? The answer is most likely no,” Klintsevich stated.

Heavy missiles next

The pro-war blogger stressed that traditional air defense systems are simply too expensive and complex to handle this massive scale. Instead, he urged Russia to quickly build cheaper alternatives like laser systems.

The threat to the home front is also expanding beyond small aircraft. LA.LV reported that Klintsevich told citizens to prepare for a much more destructive weapon arriving in their skies.

He warned that ballistic missiles could soon start targeting Russian territory on a regular basis. This shift would push local emergency systems to their absolute limits.

Future robotic warfare

Looking further down the road, the commentator believes the very nature of combat will morph completely over the next few years. Artificial intelligence and automation will expand the front lines dramatically.

“If we get to 2027, we will see not only flying and crawling robots on the front lines, but also robot dogs and anthropomorphic robots. War will enter a completely new phase,” Klintsevich said.

Despite his terrifying predictions, the media figure expressed a final hope that the Kremlin can still salvage the situation. He wants leaders to negotiate a deal with Ukraine to prevent total escalation.
