Russian forces attempted to advance across multiple sectors over the past two days. Ukrainian troops successfully halted these operations and launched their own counterattacks. The Institute for the Study of War reported no confirmed Russian territorial gains during this period.
Halting Russian advances
Russian units continued offensive operations in the northern Kharkiv region. According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian counterattacks prevented these forces from advancing near Vovchansk. Similar Russian efforts in the Velykyi Burluk and Kupiansk directions also failed to make progress.
Military bloggers noted ongoing clashes but recorded no confirmed Russian breakthroughs. As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Russian forces carried out limited attacks in the Borova direction without success. Geolocated footage indicates that Ukrainian troops maintain their positions near Novoplatonivka despite opposing claims.
Additional Russian assaults occurred across several other tactical directions. According to RBC-Ukraine, operations near Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka failed to result in territorial gains. The Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka and Dobropillia areas similarly saw no confirmed Russian advances.
Executing targeted strikes
The Armed Forces of Ukraine simultaneously targeted enemy infrastructure behind the front lines. Ukrainian troops struck fuel and logistics centers in the occupied Luhansk region. As noted by RBC-Ukraine, the General Staff confirmed strikes on depots in Stepne and Khrustalne.

Seeking international intervention
Diplomatic efforts continue alongside the ongoing battlefield engagements. Ukraine called on the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution demanding an end to the war. According to RBC-Ukraine, Kyiv submitted this request the day before the recent frontline reports.
