The 5 % goal

During this year’s NATO summit, the 32 countries agreed on pledging to spend at least 5 % of GDP on defence expenditure in the future.

More than double

The new pledge more than doubles the previous goal of 2 %, but how much do the NATO-members actually spend?

Ranked from 32nd to 1st

We’ve had a look at NATO’s own numbers for 2025 (estimates, as the final numbers aren’t ready yeat), so let’s start out with the country that spend the least.
