Kremlin Rejects Trump’s Peace Ultimatum on Ukraine

Russian officials have flatly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand for a peace deal within 50 days.

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Kremlin remains committed to its military objectives, despite mounting global pressure and economic sanctions.

“Unacceptable”: Russia Dismisses U.S. Demands

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told TASS that Moscow considers any ultimatums from Washington “unacceptable.”

Peskov Blames Kyiv for Stalled Talks

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov echoed Ryabkov’s stance, saying Moscow is open to further dialogue, but claimed that Kyiv is to blame for lack of progress.

He stated that Russia is ready for another round of bilateral talks but sees no movement from the Ukrainian side.

Medvedev Dismisses Trump: “Russia Doesn’t Care”

Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and now deputy chair of the Security Council, was blunt in his response.

In a post on X (Twitter), he declared that “Russia didn’t care” about Trump’s so-called ultimatum.

Lavrov: Sanctions Won’t Work

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov insisted that Russia can survive additional U.S. tariffs and sanctions.

He said Moscow is already “coping” with existing economic measures and will continue to adapt as needed.

No Sanction Fatigue in Moscow

Sergei Mironov, head of the A Just Russia party and a State Duma member, doubled down on Russia’s resistance to pressure.

He said that more sanctions would not alter the course or goals of the war in Ukraine.

Putin’s “Theory of Victory” Still in Play

According to the ISW, President Putin’s war doctrine is unchanged.

His strategy is still focused on forcing Ukraine’s capitulation and making no compromises on pre-war objectives, despite international calls for de-escalation.

Trump’s 50-Day Deadline Falls Flat
