Recent Pentagon reports reveal that Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Texas have emerged as the top beneficiaries of U.S. funding and investment aimed at arming Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
New Contracts Awarded
According to documents analyzed by Reuters and reported by Hotnews, Pennsylvania received the highest allocation, totaling $2.52 billion, dedicated to building weapons and ammunition to support Ukraine's efforts.
This funding surge comes as the Biden administration seeks to rally bipartisan support, particularly ahead of the crucial presidential elections on November 5.
Over the past ten months, the administration has emphasized that many of the weapons sent to Ukraine will be replaced through new contracts awarded to American companies, which will also create jobs domestically.
Recieves Billions of Expenditures
Notable contractors include Arizona's Raytheon, which manufactures Patriot missile systems, and General Dynamics, known for producing artillery shells in multiple states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas.
Arizona has received $2.02 billion in Ukraine-related expenditures, while Texas follows closely with $1.85 billion.
The documents also highlighted a comprehensive breakdown of the $41.7 billion allocated for various arms systems across more than 35 states to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities.
The funding underscores the U.S. commitment to supporting Ukraine during this ongoing conflict, as the nation seeks to repel Russian forces.
