Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have released new footage showing a series of FP-2 drone strikes on Russian positions around Pokrovsk.

The action targeted firing points, troop concentrations and logistical hubs supporting Russian assaults in the Donetsk region.

The SSO said the operation was designed to weaken Russia’s ability to advance toward the city.

Precision strikes

In its November 23 release, the SSO said Ukrainian operators identified a network of Russian positions used to back offensive actions. Throughout the day, FP-2 drones carried out sequential strikes once priority targets were confirmed.

Footage published by the service shows drones hitting buildings repurposed by Russian units as operational centers.

According to the SSO, one of the main targets was a multistory industrial structure inside Pokrovsk that Russian forces had been using as a sniper point and staging site for rotating personnel.

The agency said the elevated position gave Russian units a tactical edge over surrounding areas, prompting its inclusion in the strike list.

Russian positions hit

The SSO reported that several other sites used for assault preparation and logistics were struck in surrounding settlements.

These included Shakhove, where members of Russia’s 336th Separate Guards Naval Infantry Brigade had gathered before attempting to move toward Pokrovsk from the north.

In Sontsivka, drones hit a temporary base and ammunition storage point used by crews operating Russian strike UAVs from the 6th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division.

Another strike targeted an ammunition warehouse in Dokuchaievsk that supplied units pushing toward Pokrovsk.

The service also reported damage to a logistics hub in Rybynske supporting the “Vostok” grouping. The outpost was located in fortified industrial facilities used to move equipment and supplies.

Growing drone campaign

Ukrainian Special Operations Forces said the FP-series has become central to their strategy of conducting asymmetric operations “aimed at reducing the offensive capabilities of the Russian army.”

The service has increasingly employed both long-range and tactical drones to disrupt Russian ammunition nodes, staging points and assault formations across Donetsk.

The SSO recently confirmed it had downed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter using an FP-1 deep-strike drone over the Rostov region—around 190 kilometers from the front line—describing the mission as a first-of-its-kind operation.
