Ukrainian forces have struck a highly unusual Russian weapon system, destroying an RBU-6000 naval rocket bomb launcher that had been mounted on a truck, according to footage shared by Ukraine’s 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The attack reportedly used two FPV (first-person view) drones.
The first targeted and disabled the vehicle by hitting the driver’s cab.
The second drone delivered a direct hit to the launcher itself, ensuring it was completely destroyed and unusable.

A Naval Weapon Forced Onto Land
The RBU-6000, developed by the Soviet Navy in the early 1960s, was designed for anti-submarine warfare.
Firing depth charges in circular salvos, its RGB-60 projectiles were never meant for land-based combat.
The system’s effectiveness relies on underwater shockwaves.
Yet as the war stretches into its third year, Russian forces have increasingly turned to improvisation.
The RBU-6000 has been seen mounted on MT-LB armored vehicles, trucks, and even tanks—rigged for ground-based fire in ways that strip it of its original naval precision and automation.
These makeshift adaptations lack proper fire control systems and require manual loading and operation.
