At least 19 people have died after two adjoining four-storey buildings collapsed on Tuesday night in the city of Fes, northern Morocco, state news agency MAP reports.
Another 16 people were injured.
Search teams are continuing to work at the site amid fears that more residents may still be trapped under the rubble.
Rescue efforts under way
The collapse occurred in the Al Mustakbal neighbourhood of the Al Massira district. According to officials, eight families lived across the two buildings.
