The shocking news have been made public.

Vanessa Trump has shared that she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer following a recent diagnosis.

News of her condition was made public Thursday through an Instagram post, where the 48-year-old former wife of Donald Trump Jr. confirmed she had surgery earlier this week and is now focusing on recovery surrounded by family support.

Vanessa Trump and Donald Trump Jr. share five children together following their divorce in 2018.

“No one expects to receive”

Vanessa Trump described the diagnosis as deeply unexpected while explaining that doctors are already working closely with her on a treatment plan.

“I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. While this is a message no one expects to receive, I am working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she wrote.

Support from relatives and close friends has helped her remain optimistic during the first stage of treatment, according to the post.

“I’m keeping my focus and hope strong, surrounded by love and support from my family, my children, and those closest to me,” Vanessa Trump added.

Family members respond publicly

Messages of encouragement quickly appeared underneath the post after the announcement became public.

Ivanka Trump, daughter of former President Donald Trump and Vanessa Trump’s former sister-in-law, was among those sending public support and well wishes.

Vanessa Trump also thanked friends and family members for standing beside her following the diagnosis and operation.

Recent attention surrounding private life

Public attention surrounding Vanessa Trump has increased in recent months because of her relationship with golf star Tiger Woods.

News of the diagnosis arrives shortly after Woods reportedly returned home following six weeks of medical treatment abroad.

Vanessa Trump requested privacy in her statement while continuing treatment and recovery.
