50 Russian military vehicles destroyed in Ukrainian bridge strike

The Ukrainian strategy of isolating the occupied peninsula seems to be gaining steam.

Ukrainian forces launched a major attack on the Armenian Bridge in occupied Crimea on June 11.

According to a report by The Kyiv Independent, the strike left the crossing completely out of service, paralyzing Russian logistics to the occupied peninsula.

During the fast-moving operation, a total of 50 Russian military vehicles carrying ammunition and fuel were also destroyed.

The 1st Separate Assault Battalion “Da Vinci” confirmed the successful mission. Military officials stated that the bridge is so badly damaged that they do not even need to attack it again to keep it unusable.

The targeted convoy was on its way to support troops near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region. Now, those essential supplies will never arrive.

Trapped in Crimea

This dramatic strike was not an isolated incident. Overnight, a wave of attacks targeted military positions and transport links across the occupied peninsula.

The Telegram user DOBRIK Live has posted footage allegedly showing the Ukrainian attack. The footage has not been independently verified.

According to United24Media, Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-appointed official in the occupied Kherson region, acknowledged the widespread damage. He confirmed that Ukrainian attacks hit several locations, including bridges near Preobrazhenka and Myrne, a road bridge on the Perekop–Armiansk highway, and another structure near Stavky.

Specialists are currently examining the structures to determine the extent of the damage. However, the true objective behind this sustained bombardment is already clear: Ukrainian commanders aim to completely cut Crimea off from Russian supply routes.

The grand plan

Robert Brovdi, the commander of Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces who goes by the call sign “Magyar,” explained the broader strategy to Reuters on June 11.

“We will isolate Crimea in the near future,” Brovdi stated, speaking from a command post near the front line.

By severing these vital routes, Ukraine hopes to choke off the supply of weapons and fuel to Russian troops. If the strategy succeeds, holding the territory could become impossible for the occupying forces.
