Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian authorities are working with oil companies to address fuel issues and minimize disruptions following recent attacks on infrastructure.

The Kremlin commented on a range of issues, including fuel supplies in Russia, the political situation in the United Kingdom and recent tensions involving Belarus.

According to TASS, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian authorities are working to stabilize fuel supplies while maintaining close coordination with energy companies.

Fuel concerns

Peskov said the Russian government remains engaged with oil producers to address fuel-related issues.

According to TASS, he stressed that authorities are using existing coordination mechanisms with oil companies and are taking the measures they consider necessary to manage the situation.

He also addressed fuel supply concerns in Crimea following recent Ukrainian attacks, saying regional authorities are working to minimize disruptions and maintain stable deliveries.

Starmer’s resignation

Commenting on the resignation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Peskov said the outgoing leader had done little to improve relations between Moscow and London.

According to TASS, the Kremlin spokesman argued that relations between the two countries remain effectively frozen and suggested it is unlikely that Starmer’s successor will pursue a significantly different approach toward Russia.

He said Moscow sees little prospect of a major shift in British policy.

Belarus issue

Peskov also commented on recent statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding Belarus.

According to TASS, he described the remarks as interference in Belarus’ internal affairs and an infringement on the country’s sovereignty.

The spokesman added that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko are expected to speak in the near future and may discuss the issue during their conversation.

NIS discussions

Peskov confirmed that Russia and Serbia have held discussions concerning the possible sale of Gazprom’s stake in Serbia’s national oil company NIS.

However, according to TASS, he declined to provide details, describing the matter as a commercial issue that cannot be discussed publicly.
